Young talent award for patient safety 2025

The price

The award is intended to promote students or graduates who make an active contribution to patient safety.
3 theses will be selected in the categories

• 1 dissertation
• 1 Master's thesis/diploma thesis
• 1 Bachelor thesis

Each award is endowed with 500 Euro received. The announcement of the award winners is linked to

• the publication of the thesis on the APS website
• a video post on the APS website and its social networks

Application requirements

1. Target group: Students or graduates in Germany/Austria/Switzerland
2. Thesis (Bachelor; Master/Diploma; Dissertation)

• • makes an active contribution to increasing patient safety
  • is written in German or English
  • was submitted in 2023 or 2024 and has already been finally assessed
• Final theses with a blocking notice cannot be considered.

Documents to be submitted

If the above requirements are met, the following documents are required for the application:

• the completed application form
• an exposé of the thesis (max. 2 pages DIN A4)
• the thesis (without publication embargo)
• an additional appraisal by the academic supervisor
• form for the disclosure of possible conflicts of interest
